An 11-year-old boy who went missing after setting out alone on a hike during a family visit to Juwangsan National Park on Sunday was found dead Tuesday morning, authorities said. The boy had visited Daejeonsa, a temple inside the park, with his parents after traveling from his home in Daegu. Around noon Sunday, he told his parents he would “go a little farther up the mountain” before disappearing.
His parents reported him missing later that day after he failed to return.
